The New Animated Series' Introductory Sequence Chose the Wrong Popular RPG Show Track

The Mighty Nein, the newest animated series from Critical Role, revealed an exciting introductory sequence. It showcases the beloved group of outcasts, outcasts, and criminals fighting hard and taking names, while also hinting at several agonizing backstories for characters such as Liam O'Brien's mage Caleb, and another actor's orc warlock, Fjord.

Overall, the opening looks stunning. However, I felt that an element was missing in the music selection.

The intro employs "Welcome to the Continent", an exceptional composition created by artist the talented musician. It's a track from the official score of the same name, the second one released by Critical Role Productions LLC's record label their music brand. It's a great sentimental option, and I believe that devotees of the second campaign will appreciate its presence.

But for me, The series' intro fails to capture the excitement and excitement that was part of the second campaign's actual-play adventure. "It's Your Turn", composed by musician Jason Charles Miller, was an instant classic for me when it was initially unveiled in 2015, and it only got better when co-founder the performer wrote words to the tune for the animated Campaign 2 opening in the later year.

Including singing from Ashley Johnson, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, as well as Riegel himself, the track was memorable and fun. At the time, I hadn't seen the second campaign at that point, but it was so infectious that I still saved it on my phone. It's a song that knows how to get you pumped before you start an episode of adventurous fun.

The show's intro with "Welcome to Wildemount" doesn't strike the right notes in my opinion. It's an impressive piece of music, but based on my understanding of the group, I feel that its tone is somewhat mismatched.

Naturally, Critical Role has stated that the series will have some changes and differences from the actual-play campaign. A tonal change for its intro appears as among these.

This animated adventure will be released on the streaming service from Nov. 19. If you can't wait before that, or wish to prepare to learn about the characters of the second series, the original episodes are available on Spotify and the video site.
