Fresh Particulars Emerge Concerning the Location of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Bodies

Fresh particulars have surfaced regarding the shocking demises of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Los Angeles home property on Sunday.

The Alarm

A source indicates citing a confidential source, a practitioner scheduled for an session first raised the alarm after failing to get inside the home. The practitioner then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides nearby.

After gaining access to the house, Romy discovered her father's body. Accounts indicate she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also present. Her roommate who had accompanied her contacted 911. Afterward, paramedics found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Charges

Law enforcement have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of murder in the first degree, as well as the alleged use of a deadly weapon, said to be a knife. He is presently being held without bail.

Disputed Reports

The person close to the family challenged several previously reported details. They said that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a separate structure on the estate, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that juncture.

Furthermore disputed published claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "apprehensive" about Nick's actions in the preceding period. Rather the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation includes descriptions of reportedly "unstable" behavior by Nick at a party hosted by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the discovery. Although the source said they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they asserted that suggestions of a "heated argument" between the two were untrue.

Investigation Details

As stated by law enforcement sources, the medical examiner had yet to determine at that point whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Preliminary media reports indicated the condition of their bodies pointed to they had been deceased for some hours.

Nick Reiner was apprehended at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, some 15 miles from the family home. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, said his client had not been medically cleared and would be unable to attend until Wednesday at the earliest.
